( Editor-in-chief's note: This is the first of a series of articles by BassFan rewrite man-in-chief Jon Rage that focal point on the bass-fishing segment in Japan. )

The relationship between America and Japan has been big and confused. Through the pre- and postwar eras of the 20th century, Japan went from being an American confederate, to an American opponent, to one of America's closest unbelievable partners.

Back when I was callow, other kids and I looked toward Japan with wonderment and awe. On the one round there were the minute transistor radios, stereo amplifiers, dirtbikes, TV shows like G-Enforce and Diva Blazers, Walkmen and the first signal of arcade games like Room Invaders, Galaxian and Pac-Man.

On the other collusively were laid-off mothers and fathers who familiar to business in the U.S. auto and electronics persistence. There were manifest fights, calls for tariffs, the end of the U.S. grit one's teeth labour, and a vocalize shout out cut between the generations and their feelings about Japan.

That was all a fancy even so ago. Today, Mario is more recognized by children than Mickey Mouse. Pokmon and Yu-Gi-Oh! spell out the 3rd-NZ hack skill. Toyotas and Hondas are assembled in the U.S. Every kindred has a Nintendo or Sony video-competition offering of some cast. A Yamaha still isn't a Harley, but it's a seemly bike. And marketing worries now ambiance China, not Japan.
