Where can I buy Shimano Curado 300DSV baitcasting reel in Hongkong?

Most shops in Hongkong sell the Japanese version model's. There must be another name for Curado DSV in the Japanese Market.

if there is not you can order one from bass pro shops. i fully trust them they are a great company and you would be getting a great product. i included a link to what i think is the same model

Scorpion was the comparble model in Japan.

Japan doesn't believe in heavier/more line for any application, so the Curado 300 isn't something they need there. It's all about finesse and light line fishing in Japan.

The closest reel to what you're looking for is the Scorpion 1500, which Shimano has discontinued.

Ive decided to spend the money on a good Shimano Calcutta baitcasting reel for Musky fishing..any suggestions?

Put Spiderwire on and hang on!

Yeah forget the Shimano, ande get an Abu Garcia 6500-C3. Much better reel for what you want it for. I've basically exploded a Calcutta, but all my C3's are still in perfect order.

Then put on a good quality Braided Dacron. The stuff I use isn't sold anymore but I still have many spools left. Top the reel with a good heavy-extraq heavy 5"9'- 6" rod, and you'll have the time of your life. Don't forget to balance the outfit when you are done. Can't remember the name if the thing, but it's a rubber butt piece that fits over the butt of the rod with weights inside it. You can cast all day aned not be sore the next day.

The shimano is a good reel and with some practice you will get some really good casts from it if you use it the correct way, they don't take very much looking after so long as you lubricate it after every few trips, more of an ABU Garcia person myself but shimanos are OK.

That reel will work fine but don't go with the 6 ft pole that was mentioned. I use a 9ft steelhead rod with only 10lb stren. I don't have a problem controlling them at all with the 9 and am able to use lighter tackle which i like to do. Just a couple weeks ago i caught a 48.5", 21.5" girth but weighed just under 25lbs. This was on this rig with a 7" shiner. Make sure you use a steel leader at least 18" to 24". We have seen them swallow the whole bait and 18" leader a couple times. You will need a big net and definately study up on handling and landing these fish. They can hurt you really bad so be careful. If you need any other info on musky fishing let me know. We fish for them all the time here in NW PA.

What type of brands are out there which make left handed baitcasting reels?

I'm looking for a left handed baitcaster. All I mostly found was the Shimano Curado 201. Are there any other brands out there that make left handed baitcasters?

it comes with a baiting system that is far superior to anything out there..it is called the master-baiter
