who makes bass pro extreme low profile baitcasting reels?

i was wondering who made the low profile extreme baitcasting reels.i heard it was a pflueger.if it is witch pflueger is it compairable to.or witch other one is it compaired to

Bass Pro (in the past) has paid for the rights to Daiwa design & Lews Speed-spool.

Looking at the Extreme I would say perhaps a Pflueger. But it could be a Daiwa. At that price you could also buy a Pflueger Purist. Or, if your willing to upgrade $20 more, Browning "Six Rivers Low Profile" $99, Browning "Citori" $99, Etc.

Personally, if I was gonna spend $80, I would spend $120 and get a Shimano "Citica". Not much difference in price and Shimano Citica's are "proven" ,quality, reels!

Abu Garcia Combo or Pflueger Combo for baitcasting?

with pricing being equal, which company has a better product? I'm normal a Pflueger guy when it comes to spinning reels, but have been looking at the Abu Garcia and it seems to be a pretty good deal and am thinking of going with the Abu Garcia TGC500 Combo but have seen the Pflueger Echelon combo was wondering which of the two would be better, and for what reason. The fish I'll be going for would be anything from bass and pike to maybe the bigger muskie with occasion. thanks
I meant "Abu Garcia® Ambassadeur® TGC5000 Combo"

The Abu Garcia Black Max is also a sweet combo for 60 bucks! 6'6" MH 1 piece IM6 rod, and a solid little baitcaster.

Get the Abu, I don't do Pflueger...I actually do Team Daiwa, but who can pass up a $60 an yet another rod and reel! :D

I can't find a TGC500 on google, where in the world are you?

ABU all the way

what kind of fishing line should I use?

I have a new st. croix avid 6' 9" medium power fast action rod. I also just got a new pflueger patriarch baitcasting reel. I plan to cast for smallmouths and walleye. Should I use mono or a supper line? The only baitcaster I have used before is my muskie rod. Will one cast nicer than another? I know the differences between the lines just wondering if someone has experience as to which they prefer?
Thanks!!!!

I only use pound tests of 12 and up on my baitcasters, but if you fare well using smaller you can go with a good fluorocarbon (Trilene 100% or BPS100% fluoro). The fish don't see it as well in the water and offers good abrasion resistance and low stretch. Fluoro makes for good leaders if you want to use mono. For mono I would go with 12 lb. Trilene XT, 8 lb. on a spinning reel.
