MILE-Extreme EXPECTATIONS
Perhaps my expectations were a spoonful too lofty, after last week's pleasantly funny show in Dallas. It was overloaded with genius, laughs and a feisty company mediate ( Neil Patrick Harris ) who wasn't apprehensive to be basic.
Last night-time's show did have a few waggish moments and a few illustrious contestants: A Jack Menacing look-equally, a guy who couldn't fill up laughing, a guy with serious A.D.D. who couldn't put still, a popsy who sounded like she inhaled a tank of helium, a guy who was asked to take his shirt off, and a guy tiring to mock last enliven's "Bikini Filly." (more about that below)
But the Denver auditions seemed to insufficiency a key ingredient -- the wow proxy. There were no contestants -- at least the ones they showed performing -- who gave you the suspect that there's another Kelly Clarkson or Chris Daughtry or Fantasia stepping out of the audition abide.
