These are among the Christmas premium choices for anglers and outdoorsmen that are selling at cope with shops around Polk County.
Shoppers are proving to be budget-purposive for the alternate normal year because of the money-making ambiance.
"So far it's a undersized easy compared to last year, but I assume it's successful to pick up,'' said Ron Schelfo at Ron's Set about Box in Lake Alfred. "From what I've seen in the close by, people stick up onto their shekels until the last twinkling of an eye, and then they get in the heart and they go dissipate.''
Allen Wyatt at Andy Thornal in Winter Haven said sales are down from last Christmas. But Brent Howlett at Stone's Outhouse in Lakeland struck a more sure note.
"It's more intelligent than last year. It took a lot longer for last year to get effective, because that was advantageous at the birth of the calamity,'' Howlett said. "This year has been a midget safer for December.''

anybody fish with the abu garcia ambassadeur series reels?
Feb 02, 2009 by blackoutparty111 | Posted in Fishing
my girlfriend is getting me a new fishing reel for valentines day. im looking at abu garcia ambassadeur series reels but im not sure which one to ask for. im primarily a bass fisherman but these reels look like they are for bigger species. maybe best used in saltwater? the 4600 model looks best for bass fishing but is it still too big?
The 4600 series is perfect for casting small jigs and top waters. I use the record series 40 which is in the same category as the 4600 in size and function. If you feel it is too big I would suggest one of Abu Garcias' Revos which is the low profile series in the Garcia lineup. I own the Premier and Inshore model which I found stand up well saltwater fishing as well as freshwater. They also feel really comfortable casting jigs all day.

I have an older one that has been very little I can't get it to cast worth a damn I have tried every thing I gave it to some other people that I was fishin with and they can't get it to cast right either. I think my dad has a newer 4600 and he just loves it he uses it for bass and walleyes so mine might just be a lemon. I think the next time I go fishing my real will go for a swim and not come back.

For bass fishing, the Ambassadeur reels in the 4600 series would work OK, but it doesn't have the thumbar like a traditional baitcast reel would have. It just has a button to release the spool on top of the sideplate of the reel. That might take some time getting used to if you haven't fished with that type of system. The Abu Garcia Revo S and SX would be a great alternative. It's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, has a great drag system, and is a pretty smooth reel to use.

I have had a Ambassadeur USA 500 that I bought when I was 13 now im 32. I take care of it and it still works great. I also have my dad's old red 5000 from early 70's which I never use. Get a Revo they are the shizzz. A 4600 is cool too be sure you want to hold a round baitcaster some people think they are to bulky but the Revo is super low profile. I have an S model and love it. Good reel buying, wish my wife would buy me a new reel!!!

Saltwater? I mean if you want to catch bait! lol! A 6500 would be the threshold for game fish in the seas bro. Take that reel back to the pond!

1. Pucknut is wrong. The 4600 C-3/C-4 model Abu's DO have a thumb-bar control and work quite well for Bass fishing.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, "bulletproof", round style baitcasting reel for general bass fishing, an Abu Garcia C-4 4600 would be a great purchase!
I've owned 2 4600 C-3's ( and have a C-4) for over 15 years and they still cast and work as well as the day I purchased them. I must admit, my C-4
is smoother and has better distance than my C-3's.
I use my C-4/C-3's for Rapala Husky Jerk fishing, 1/4-1/2 OZ Spinnerbait fishing and Jerkbait fishing.
In my opinion, there is not a better roundstyle baitcaster (for the price) than a C-4.
You will get a lot of good feedback off of Cabela's .

for the round models, specify one of the "record" models, low profile, go with the revo. l have no experience with a revo but have two records. great, smooth reels.

How do you put back together an abu garcia ambassadeur reel?
Nov 03, 2008 by j.michaeltalton | Posted in Fishing
Which model, Abu have made hundreds of reels over the years, all you can do is take it to the tackle shop and let them deal with it, they should be able to put it back together or send it off to Abu Garcia if its too badly damaged.

Is it possible to attach a bait clicker/ line alarm to an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500 C3?
Jan 04, 2007 by lefty lucky | Posted in Fishing
The larger 6500 C3 comes pre-equipped with a bait clicker/ line out alarm. Is it possible to install one on my 5500 C3 reel? If it is, can you point me to where I could purchase the clicker? Thanks
Yes,
there's a bait-clip bite alarm made by FOX for Carpfishing. It attaches to your rod and you clip the line in. unclick your bail and when the fish takes off, the alarm will scream as the line run through.
